RDL Introduces FP-PA18 & FP-PA18H 18 W Audio Power Amplifiers

2010-06-15

The FP-PA18 and FP-PA18H are high efficiency 18 W power amplifiers with a line input, 8 ohm output and an integral audio compressor. The FP-PA18 circuits are all designed for low power consumption. In the absence of an audio input, a digital timer is enabled to switch the class D output stage off. When this sleep mode is active, the amplifier module and its included RDL power supply consume less than 1 W of mains power. Both models feature a balanced line level input that may be connected unbalanced. The output drives one 8 ohm speaker or multiple speakers connected to present an 8 ohm load to the amplifier.

RDL Introduces EZ-MCP1 Microphone Compressor

2010-06-14

The EZ-MCP1 is an in-line microphone compressor that produces consistent audio levels despite wide variations (up to 30 dB) from the microphone. It is installed between a dynamic or condenser microphone and a mic-level mixer or amplifier input. The only setup required is a front-panel level trimmer that is adjusted during normal speech until the compression LED just begins to flash. A rear-panel output level trimmer is provided although it is typically left in the normal default position. Phantom voltage (24 V) is automatically switched on when the EZ-MCP1 output is connected to a mic jack that provides phantom voltage. The EZ-MCP1 improves sound quality and intelligibility by producing consistent audio levels and controlling overloads that produce distortion and clipping. It is used for recording, paging and public address in houses of worship, restaurants, clubs, meeting rooms, educational facilities, conference rooms and commercial sound systems.

RDL Introduces FP-ECC1 Energy Conservation Controller

2010-06-04

The FP-ECC1 is a control unit designed to automatically turn an A/V system on and off for maximum energy savings. Multiple sensing inputs and control outputs are provided in standard formats affording optimum flexibility in a broad variety of installations. The FP-ECC1 features may be enhanced through the use of optional RDL remote controls and detection and control modules. Connections are provided to interface the FP-ECC1 with OEM equipment.

RDL Wins 2010 Radio World “Cool Stuff” Award

2010-04-26

The EZ Series manufactured by RDL is the recipient of the radio broadcast industry’s most prestigious technology honor, the Radio World “Cool Stuff” Award, given by a panel of expert engineering judges at the 2010 NAB Show in Las Vegas.

RDL Introduces FP-PA35A 35W Audio Power Amplifier

2010-04-20

The FP-PA35A is the latest model in the highly popular FP-PA series audio power amplifiers from RDL. The FP-PA35A is the ideal choice in many applications where multiple 25 V, 70 V or 100 V speakers in a zone need to be powered from a single audio power amplifier.
