RDL is excited to announce that the new HD Series 35 Watt Mixer Amplifiers are now shipping. RDL HD Series ultra high efficiency amplifiers are the world's first full-featured environmentally conscious "green" mixer amplifiers for commercial installations. An internal low-power-consumption processor monitors usage demands to completely shut down internal circuitry for maximum power conservation and extremely low long-term operating cost. These amplifiers draw less than 1 Watt of mains power while in standby mode and automatically turn on when an audio input signal is detected. This coupled with a highly efficient Class-D output stage makes these the most energy efficient mixer amplifiers available.

The FP-PA18 and FP-PA18H are high efficiency 18 W power amplifiers with a line input, 8 ohm output and an integral audio compressor. The FP-PA18 circuits are all designed for low power consumption. In the absence of an audio input, a digital timer is enabled to switch the class D output stage off. When this sleep mode is active, the amplifier module and its included RDL power supply consume less than 1 W of mains power. Both models feature a balanced line level input that may be connected unbalanced. The output drives one 8 ohm speaker or multiple speakers connected to present an 8 ohm load to the amplifier.

The EZ-MCP1 is an in-line microphone compressor that produces consistent audio levels despite wide variations (up to 30 dB) from the microphone. It is installed between a dynamic or condenser microphone and a mic-level mixer or amplifier input. The only setup required is a front-panel level trimmer that is adjusted during normal speech until the compression LED just begins to flash. A rear-panel output level trimmer is provided although it is typically left in the normal default position. Phantom voltage (24 V) is automatically switched on when the EZ-MCP1 output is connected to a mic jack that provides phantom voltage. The EZ-MCP1 improves sound quality and intelligibility by producing consistent audio levels and controlling overloads that produce distortion and clipping. It is used for recording, paging and public address in houses of worship, restaurants, clubs, meeting rooms, educational facilities, conference rooms and commercial sound systems.
